Downtown Sudbury is home to some of Sudbury’s longest standing businesses, among those is Robert Brown Jewellers Inc.
Robert Brown Jewellers passed hands a few times in the past 80-some years. In 1934, Mr Robert Brown founded the shop. The business was passed down to his son, Gordon, who developed the business. When Gordon decided to retire, a few of the long-term employees stepped-up to take over. This included Bruce McKay, who’s children Niel and Jennifer own the store today.
Robert Brown is a lovely example of the potential longevity of a local business. As well as how a business can switch hands and preserve its ‘je ne sais quoi.’
Since it’s inception, Robert Brown has been providing their loyal client base with inspiring fine jewellery and popular brands, along with watch and jewellery repair services while maintaining exemplary customer service and competitive pricing.
