Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
The Canadian Pacific Holiday train is arriving Friday, November 29th at 8:50pm at the VIA Train Station downtown on Elgin Street.

The Holiday Train travels Canada and the US, decorated with thousands of Christmas lights, in order to collect food and funds for the local foodbanks of the communities it visits. At each city the train visits the Holiday Train provides a box car stage and line-up of great musical talent. Sudbury will be welcoming the talent of Scott Helman and Madeline Merlo from 9:15 PM - 9:45 PM.

Downtown Sudbury Christmas Market

The Downtown Sudbury Christmas Market is happening in the newly redesigned Tom Davies Square Courtyard on Friday, December 6th from 5pm – 9pm and Saturday, December 7th from 11am – 9pm.

Tom Davies Square Courtyard will be lit up thanks to a pop-up version of the Festival of Lights as well as two very large marquee letter displays.

Vendors will be on site selling food & drink as well as handmade crafts perfect for Christmas gifts.

Brought to you by Downtown Sudbury and the City of Greater Sudbury in partnership with Bash Events North, Shake It Up Sound & Lighting.

Admission by donation. Proceeds to MS Society of Canada, Sudbury-Manitoulin Chapter.

City of Greater Sudbury Tree Lighting

The City of Greater Sudbury will officially light up the 30ft Holiday Tree at Tom Davies Square on Friday, December 6th at 5pm.

Shop Downtown and Receive a Free Gift
From 10am – 3pm, on the first three Saturdays of December, the team from Downtown Sudbury would like to invite you to visit our office at 115 Larch Street (St Andrew’s Building) to receive a free gift on behalf of our downtown businesses.

Customers with an accumulated $75(before tax) in receipts from downtown businesses, dated on or after Saturday, November 16th, are eligible for the gift. Each week is a different Christmas themed plant to help decorate your home, so each week we will stamp your $75 in receipts before returning them to you.

December 7th: Wreath or Swag
December 14th: Poinsettia plant
December 21st: Cyclamen Plant

Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl

The team behind the Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl is back at it on Saturday, December 7th from 11am – 4pm.

The self-guided art crawl includes 20+ venues featuring visual art and artists, pop-up acoustic music performances, and more.

This December edition of the Downtown Sudbury Art Crawl is in partnership with Downtown Sudbury and the Sudbury Arts Council // Conseil des arts de Sudbury.

Free Family Movies
Over the first three Saturdays of December, enjoy a free family movie at Imagine Cinemas Downtown Movie Lounge in the Rainbow Centre. The movies will play at 11am. Just in time to enjoy a free sleigh ride shortly after.

Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides
Take a break from shopping downtown and enjoy a free horse-drawn wagon ride. Wagon rides are available the first three Saturdays of December, from Noon until 3pm and depart from the YMCA on Durham.

Simply fill out your ballot at participating businesses and you will be entered into a draw to win a gift basket of downtown gift certificates. Downtown Sudbury selects 3 winners each week in December leading up to Christmas, and our winners are announced on Downtown Sudbury’s Facebook page.
