Downtown Rotary Blues for Food

The Downtown Rotary Blues for Food is an annual event in support of the Sudbury Food Bank, hosted by Downtown Sudbury and the Rotary Club of Sudbury. The Durham Street event features live, local musicians from 11am – 8pm, as well as a variety of free family activities from 11am – 5pm. Food and merchandise vendors will be on site. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item or cash to the Sudbury Food Bank. Help us fill the cupboards!

Graphic Con

Graphic Con is the largest fan conention in northern Ontario, and is happening at The Sudbury Arena this Saturday from 10am – 8pm. Hosted by The Greater Sudbury Public Library, the event celebrates cosplay, comics, celebrities, artists, gaming and everything ‘nerd culture.’

The Greater Sudbury Market

The Market is open from 8am – 2pm with local produce and goods. There will be two events happening at the Market on Saturday, June 10th: Kids-Con and the Sudbury Cycles Kids Bike Exchange.


Kids-Con takes place from 10am – 3pm at the Greater Sudbury Market. Hosted as part of Graphic Con, the event boasts family friendly activities.

Sudbury Cycles Kids Bike Exchange

From 10am – 12pm, children can trade in their outgrown bike for a gently used one of the correct size. Children will also receive a helmet if they do not currently own one that fits. Bicycles and helmets are provided on a first come first serve basis, and sizes and quantities may vary.

Downtown Mini Putt

Downtown Sudbury is being transformed into a mini-putt course. Pre-registered teams will be traveling through the downtown to golf the different ‘holes’ at many of our local businesses. The event is hosted by Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario Canada, and begins at noon at the Durham Social.

Beshaabiigana @ Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario(GNO)

Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario’s newest exhibition ‘Beshaabiiganan’ runs from June 1st to July 8th. The exhibition was created by artists Darlene Naponse, Deanna Nebenionquit and Tanya Lukin Linklater. The gallery will be open on Saturday from 12pm – 6pm.

2 Lands @ Artists on Elgin

Artists on Elgin features the exhibit ‘2 Lands’ by Kathy Browning. The exhibit runs from June 1st – 30th. The Elgin street gallery also features a retail space featuring works by many local artists and is open Saturday from 10am – 5pm.
