Red Dress Day/Journée de la Robe Rouge

Red Dress Day, first observed in 2010, is commemorated annually on May 5. This day is dedicated to honouring and remembering the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people who have disappeared or been murdered due to colonial and gender-based violence in Canada.
